Arisha Nigam built what didn't exist.
At 37, entrepreneur and brand strategist Arisha Nigam decided to build a business in one of India's least-discussed and most difficult categories: personal wellness. A space surrounded by stigma, silence and extremes.
There was never a lack of demand. What was missing was trust, thoughtful design, and the freedom to talk about it openly.
To launch Thrillerrr, she sold all her gold jewellery and put in her personal savings as the company's first capital. It was calculated, but genuinely risky, not only financially, but socially. In a category filled with regulatory confusion and cultural discomfort, she was putting her credibility on the line too.
The gap, though, was undeniable. The Indian market offered two extremes: unsafe, low-quality products sold anonymously online, or expensive imports that felt disconnected from Indian reality. What was missing was a brand that treated personal wellness as normal, responsible self-care, without embarrassment, excess or labels.
Arisha's years as a brand strategist, where she also founded Socialyst and worked with 300+ brands, taught her that in sensitive categories, shock marketing rarely works. Normalisation and credibility do. Our products aren't positioned as taboo objects; they're tools for everyday relaxation, comfort and self-care.
